
Robert Aust

Robert Aust began his piano career with an award at the “Music Competition in Germany” in 2012, where he impressed both as a solo performer and as a chamber musician.
In 2009, he was awarded at the Val Tidone International Chamber Music Competition in Italy.
Robert Aust has established himself as a renowned soloist, chamber music partner, and Lied accompanist, performing in prestigious concert halls worldwide. He regularly tours Latin America, with performances in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Haiti.
Other concerts have taken him to North Africa, the Middle East, and India, as well as numerous European countries.
Radio recordings and concert broadcasts from major German and several Mexican stations document many of his performances.
In 2024, he will present various concerts in multiple Latin American and African countries. Additionally, he has taken on the role of Artistic Director for the “Manuel Ponce” Festival in Mexico, which will take place in August 2024.
Collaborating with local musicians and composers, as well as teaching at foreign universities, is one of the pianist’s greatest passions. As a soloist, he has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador, the Symphony Orchestra of UANL (Mexico), the Guayaquil Philharmonic Orchestra (Ecuador), the Symphony Orchestras of Arequipa and Cusco (Peru), the Norddeutsche Philharmonie, and the Philharmonisches Orchester Vorpommern, both in Germany.
More recently, he has given masterclasses at the University of Costa Rica, the University of Panama, EAFIT University in Medellín, and the Conservatory of Quito. In 2022, he worked as a guest professor at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico, for several weeks, and in 2023 at Panamerican University in Mexico City.
Robert Aust studied at the University of Music, Drama, and Media in Hanover under Prof. Heidi Köhler and at the University of Music and Theatre in Rostock under Prof. Matthias Kirschnereit. He also received significant musical guidance from masterclasses with Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Prof. Klaus Hellwig, Prof. Pavel Gililov, Prof. Bernd Goetzke, Prof. Einar Steen-Nökleberg, and Prof. Matti Raekallio.
Since 2020, he has been working at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf, Germany.
