Benjamín González

Guitar

He holds a bachelor degree in classical guitar from Universidad Veracruzana. He has performed internationally, making his debut in Boston, MA, in 2020, and has played across various states in Mexico, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. He won first place at the Latin American Music Festival Competition in 2020 and third place at the Boston Guitar Fest XVII Academy Performance Competition in 2022. In 2024, he was awarded the Programa de Estímulo a la Creación y Desarrollo Artístico (PECDA) Veracruz grant.


Committed to his artistic growth, he has participated in masterclasses and diploma programs with renowned guitarists such as Eliot Fisk, Joaquín Clerch, Giampaolo Bandini, Sharon Isbin, and Johan Fostier, among others. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music with a focus on Collaborative Performance at Universidad Veracruzana and maintains an active concert career as a soloist and as a member of Ensamble de Música Antigua de Xalapa, Exordio Ensamble, and L’acalet Dúo alongside soprano Benilde Larios. He is also the founder and member of the Mexican bluegrass band Los Gansos de la Pradera.
